MICHAEL & MEAGAN: CLASSIC WINTER WEDDING IN CARROLL COUNTY, MD // MARYLAND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Maryland winter wedding with bride and groom about to kiss

Jimmy and I left Meagan and Michael's engagement session knowing their wedding day was going to be just as much fun! We instantly clicked with them and knew that we were going to have a blast when we saw them again for their special day! We were super lucky to get a sunny, beautiful day because the days leading up were a little gloomy. Instead, it was really cold and so, so windy so we had to improvise a little bit! I loved Meagan and her bridesmaids -- they have been friends for many years and have been in each other's weddings so this was really special for them to celebrate the last wedding of their best-friend crew! It's not uncommon for me to play some 90's throwbacks in the car on the way to a wedding (for some reason this gets me ready!) and that's what I heard as soon as I walked through the doors of Meagan's parent's house. I knew already this was going to be an awesome day, but I was even more excited to see the four of them dancing around and singing to what I had just listened to on my way there!

As soon as we were all finished with detail shots and getting ready, everyone headed over to McDaniel College where we set Michael and Meagan up to have their First Look! We absolutely LOVE first look's because it gives our couple's some quiet moments alone to soak in the day and spend time together for a little while! Wedding day's move so quickly so without a first look, there's so little time to stop and enjoy each other! Meagan and Michael's first look was so sweet and they were so amazing especially with the gusty, cold conditions outside. We were sure to wrap Meagan up in a blanket in between portraits and moving spots but neither of them complained once! I was wrapped up in two layers of socks, a winter coat, a scarf, and gloves but Meagan was in a cropped sleeve wedding gown and acted as if the chilly temperatures and wind didn't bother her at all.

The rest of their day went perfectly! Their ceremony was beautiful and you could feel the love between the two of them and the love that surrounded them as their family and friends watched. One of our favorite parts of the day were the Maid of Honor, Best Man, and Father of the Bride toasts. Both the Maid of Honor and Best Man really put their hearts in to their toasts. They were filled with lots of memories, love, and so much humor -- we don't think we've ever laughed so much at a wedding! Meagan's Dad's toast was so touching, he told us the story of how Michael asked for his blessing and it, too, was full of humor but so heart warming as he explained his love and trust in Michael with his little girl. We ended the night with big hugs from Meagan and Michael, full hearts from a wonderful day, and excitement to kick off the 2018 wedding season!

Enjoy some of our favorites from this beautiful winter wedding!
